Its Raining!

Whew! Let me dry myself first.

Its been raining like hell in Mumbai this week.

I had to stay at my office on 26th July night because there wasn't anyway to go back to home.
Thanks to my Company, they booked a nice room for us
Nice and Cozy


After a good nights sleep and continuos rain (every time i woke up it was raining outside..i mean when did it wanted to stop), i woke up next morning for a quick breakfast. These are some snaps of the surrounding area.
Remind you of a lake, doesn't it, but its a single-lane road

While i was waiting for the hotel to open up for service. I knew i was very hungry at 8:30 in the morning..just anything for a hot chai and pakoras.
Just then these 2 guys passed us and i thot hey why not!!

Some time later i saw one Uncle getting out of his office just like we had (me and my colleague Yogesh Dingorkar)
Lets get home!!

The world around me seems to change as monsoon gets more aggressive...
It started raining this week and all kinds of plants have sprouted around in my village

Fortunately this is the one i know.
It is called Takala in Marathi.
My mom makes nice salad from this and this plant is very fibrous...
I love it..
Tho it looks like Clover doesn't....

Dark side of the moon

After oggling and using Google Earth tool a lot, i came to office today and noticed a change in google's homepage.




Google had launched Moon! [i know it sounds ridiculous]
Actually it is similar to Google Maps but it shows moon surface as per NASA pictures

Sudoku

Sudoku

This is a new craze that is catching up in India...and i have to admit also getting crazy over it.
After getting bored from crosswords and scribbles...(ok..so what if i cannot solve the difficult ones)
Sudoku is the latest thing to hit Indian newpapers and tabloids.

With papers like Times Of India, Mid-day,Mumbai Mirror,Mid-day and newest and my current favorite Hindustan Times featuring it
i m just loving it.

What is it?
Sudoku is a number puzzle.





It consists a 9 x 9 grid made of 9 cells of 3x3.
There are some numbers placed in this grid and you must fill the remaining numbers
You have to place numbers from 1 to 9 in

• Horizontal Rows
• Vertical Columns
• Each of the 9 sub-grids of 3x3.

It is very addictive
I usually solve while i am travelling
My only tip would be to scribble a 1 to 9 numbers in a 3x3 grid as below

and then strike out those numbers that are already in the row column and grid.

at first when i positioned my viewfinder the sun was shining bright on the screen and distorting

Ok! Ok!

After lots of persuasion from my fellow blogger Neeraj (hi...neeraj), i m posting this after quite a time[15 days].
So i have not been blogging for quite some days
This is what happened in my life in those days

1. I got a new PC at my office...Its a sleek all black system....TFT flatscreen...in one word sexy..
2. My Nokia 3230's Memory got corrupted...need not worry...got it replaced withing 2 days..Thanks to Nokia and Durgesh from King Electronics
3. Spent abt 10 hrs in total transferring my Code and Other essential things (mp3s mostly) on the new mc.
   
4. Called 2 friends and wished them happy birthday(belated). (Why do people forget my birthday?..Well guys at least i won't)
5. Pulled out my digicam and shot some pictures...wait till i post them
6. Finished re-reading Dan Brown - Angels and Demons and Digital Fortress
7. Now reading P.G.Wodehouse - Heavy Weather
