Buddha - Deepak Chopra
reading buddha by deepak chopra...just picked this one along with other books i had from BookZoone... Quote
| 'Buddha was as mortal as you and I, yet he attained enlightenment and was raised to the rank of an immortal. The miracle is that he got there following a heart as human as yours and mine, and just as vulnerable.' — Deepak Chopra |
Leadership
start the morning with some Robin Sharma Quotes
"Leaders make their way while others make excuses."
Nice. Making excuses is nothing more than giving away your power. An impotent way to lead - and live."

Abhijeet Sawant - Ek Shaqs
A fresh song from abhijeet sawant. its not a typical IndiPop song, with all pink and overly cute girls around shopping malls and fast cars!!
Its a song about 2 people thats all...the video is also amazingly shot. Its has almost all times a clean white background and is pleasing to eyes to watch it.
It has a certain international video feel to it.
do watch and hear this one out!!!

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - Mark Haddon
This is my latest and probably the fastest read. I read this book on an idle saturday. it is so good i could not put it down and eventually finished it at night.
It is a very different read i had since long time. I would recommend you all to read this gem...sorry no hints or blurbs because i think the name and cover itself is inviting enough for you to pick this book
gandhi
On 2nd October as we celebrate Gandhigiri, a quote i would like to share
this becomes much more relevant after recent terrorist attacks in J&K,India, Afghanistan
I believe that Gandhi's views were the most enlightened of all the political men of our time. We should strive to do things in his spirit: not to use violence for fighting for our cause, but by non-participation of anything you believe is
evil.

Alexander Pope in "451"
I leave today with this thought provoking couplet by Alexander Pope quoted by Ray Bradbury in Fahrenheit
A little learning is a dangerous thing
Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring
There shallow draughts intoxicate the brain
and drinking largely sobers us again
Alexander Pope - Essay on Criticism
Ceao!

Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury

This is my latest read and is one of those books that i pickup from bookstores by seeing the cover.
Its a story set in future of a censored society in which Fireman are the ones who BURN books. Fahernheit 451 essentially means the temperature at which books burn. Ray Bradbury potrays a future where electronic devices (TVs, Electronic pets) are more prevalent while books and nature activities are suppressed.
I read this book in hurry and sure would re-read it again
